The LiSA code keypad LKP-4 replaces the previous LKP-2. As before, it can be connected either via the bus or in a conventional (hard-wired) manner. With conventional control, the input signals are applied to I1–I8 (or SV2), and the output signals are taken from O1–O8 (or SV1). The LKP-4 switches the signals applied to I1–I8, or alternatively an internal switching potential, to the outputs O1–O8 according to the programmed configuration.

This means that the LKP-4 can be operated not only on the LiSA or CAN bus, but also with earlier LiSA generations as well as with nearly all third-party control systems.
